Summer is fast approaching, and the BCT has plenty to offer its community.

First up: the BCT’s English storybook reading and craft at the GGG Library on the 11th of June.

This event is free and suitable for young children (ages 0-5).

We welcome you to stay afterwards to browse the impressive selection of English and other language books at the library.

Then: A webinar on bringing nature into our child’s lives.

Monday, the 13th of June, we will see Melinda and Robert Schoutens discuss nature.

The conversation will include the importance of nature. And the educational and developmental benefits of the natural world for families. Including children with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Additionally, they intend to provide tips and tricks on how to increase outdoor exposure.

Also, there is the annual Summer Picnic at Schützenmatt Park on the 18th of June.

This year, the BCT plans to celebrate its 30th Anniversary during the event.

We invite you and your family to bring a rug, lawn games and a picnic.

There will be some cake, a bouncy castle, face painting and other activities.

Furthermore, the BCT will also host a children’s flea market on Saturday, the 25th of June.

Here is an opportunity for you to sell and purchase children’s items at reasonable prices.

Finally, the BCT’s Nature Detectives will resume its monthly walk on Sunday, the 26th of June.

The group will be exploring the Ermitage Arlesheim, which has the most extensive English landscaped garden in Switzerland.
