From the Co-Chairs
Dear Friends of the BCT,
It’s October, and it seems like Switzerland can’t decide if it is an extra month of summer or the beginning of Autumn. Regardless, it’s the perfect time to enjoy the beauty of Switzerland, be it outside, in nature or while experiencing the thrill of Basel’s Herbstmesse.
This season sees the BCT being very busy.
As usual, we will have our upcoming monthly Nature Detective Walks.
October’s walk will take place on Sunday, the 23rd of October, at 2:00 pm. We will walk by 24 modern sculptures between Vitra Campus and Beyeler Foundation.
Meanwhile, our last walk of the year, before the arrival of winter, is scheduled for Saturday, the 19th of November. It will be at Tierpark Lange Erlen.
Additionally, we will also host the much-awaited BCT Autumn Halloween Party.
This year, the event will take place on Saturday, the 29th of October.
This occasion has always been a family favourite; this year is no exception.
Indeed, we were surprised and excited when we sold out all 150 tickets in record time. We are sorry that we cannot accommodate all the families who wish to join.
Still, we hope you can join the BCT’s International Winter Holiday Party.
So, save this date: Saturday, the 3rd of December.
We will provide more details soon.

Finally, we are happy to announce that our weekly playgroups are back in full swing.
Yes, all five of them, much to the delight of many little ones and their caregivers. Many thanks to all those who made this happen.
Over the last two months, we welcomed several new volunteers.
We are always grateful for the incredible BCT volunteer team who generously give their time and talents.
Indeed, the BCT is so lucky to have such a positive and energetic group.
We still have a few openings that we are still looking to fill.
These include two playgroup coordinators, a workshop coordinator, neighbourhood coordinators, and a blog content creator.
